In 2015 FODŻ began its "Adopt a Cemetery" program. Under this program descendants worldwide were encouraged to take a personal interest in their ancestral cemetery and spearhead projects to protect and restore their cemetery of concern. We have followed this model since our founding in 2016. We seek to partner with descendants who take an abiding interest in their ancestral cemetery and work to rally support for its care. One-by-one we have partnered over the past nine years with approximately 30 descendants in the preservation of their personal heritage. With hundreds of Jewish cemeteries needing protection in Poland, we seek your partnership and invite you to become a project leader or donor:
Information about 2025 trips will be available in January 2025.
In 2024 we were delighted to partner again with JewishGen.org and the Matzevah Foundation, for the JewishGen Future Scholars Fellowship: an amazing and learning, traveling, and cemetery restoration experience in Poland. We were also pleased to continue our joint Neshama Trip for post-university travelers!
What are the benefits of our trips? Watchthe video just put together by some of our 2023 Neshama Travel participants depicting the impact the trip had on them!
