Goals of the Tarnów Jewish Cemetery Restoration Project

1) Ensuring the security of the cemetery with the installation of monitoring devices and cameras.

2) Construction of clearly delineated boundaries to protect the mass graves and installation of a monument commemorating the murdered Jewish men, women, and children. Placement of signs recalling the history of those who were killed in the cemetery during the Shoah.

3) Making the cemetery more accessible for visitors with installation of informational signage to help visitors better navigate the cemetery and find their family grave sites.

4) Documenting all the graves so that visitors can know where the graves of their loved ones are located, and those who cannot travel to Tarnów can see a picture of the grave.

5) Continued maintenance and upkeep for the cemetery preserving it for future generations
